Shanghai Party Secretary Chen Jining visited Maersk’s Lingang Integrated Logistics Flagship Warehouse to learn about its operations, innovation model and future development plans.

On August 14, Chen Jining, Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, visited the Maersk Lingang Integrated Logistics Flagship Warehouse. He was briefed by Ding Zejuan, President of Maersk Greater China, on the warehouse’s operations, innovative solutions and development plans, and observed its fully automated warehousing and intelligent logistics management systems.

Located in the Yangshan Special Comprehensive Bonded Zone of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Lingang Special Area, the facility is Maersk’s largest strategic warehousing investment project in China, with a total investment exceeding RMB 1 billion. Covering approximately 113,000 square meters, it provides 147,000 square meters of storage capacity and officially began operations in November 2025.

Positioned as a global omnichannel fulfillment center, the flagship warehouse leverages Shanghai’s international shipping hub advantages and integrated transport network to provide customers with efficient end-to-end logistics solutions.

Since its launch, the facility has supported customers across industries including green coffee beans, automotive components and home furnishings. Maersk stated that it will continue expanding its presence in Shanghai and Lingang, using its global logistics network, digital platforms and integrated logistics capabilities to help customers build more resilient supply chains.
