Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping Company, also known as Chipolbrok, has named two new 38,000 DWT bow-bridge multipurpose heavy-lift vessels in Qidong, Jiangsu.
The two vessels, WYSPIAŃSKI and CHEŁMOŃSKI, were named on August 28 at ZPMC’s Qidong offshore engineering base. They are the first bow-bridge vessels in Chipolbrok’s fleet and mark new progress in the company’s fleet renewal and low-carbon development.
The vessels are 182 meters long, 30 meters wide and have a service speed of 14.5 knots. Their bow-bridge and open continuous deck design provides a large flat deck area, enabling the ships to carry significantly more wind turbine blades and oversized project cargo.

Each vessel is equipped with three 350-tonne electric cranes, with a combined lifting capacity of 700 tonnes, enhancing Chipolbrok’s capability in heavy-lift and project cargo transportation.
The new ships also feature green technologies, including energy recovery from electric crane operations, a 1,000 kWh battery system, low-fuel-consumption main engines, shaft generators, shore power capability and energy-saving devices. The vessels meet EEDI Phase 3 and NOx Tier III requirements.
The two ships are part of a four-vessel series, with the remaining two expected to be delivered in 2027.
