Wan Min, Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING Group, met Gao Liping, Chairman and General Manager of Shandong Port Group, in Shanghai on August 31 to discuss deeper strategic cooperation.

Wan said Shandong Port is an important strategic partner in COSCO SHIPPING’s global network, highlighting its geographic advantages and strong hub capabilities.

He called for the two groups to strengthen strategic coordination and deepen cooperation in areas including overseas expansion, port construction and operation, and artificial intelligence.

Gao said the two companies have developed extensive cooperation over the years and jointly built an efficient port and shipping logistics system supporting Shandong Province and regions along the Yellow River.

The two sides expressed their intention to further strengthen cooperation in overseas markets and supply chain services and develop a closer model of port-shipping integration.
