As one of the core events of the 4th Greater Bay Area Port, Shipping and Logistics Conference (Nansha), the first expert meeting of the Research Group for Assessment Standard for Service Capability of International Supply Chain Logistics Enterprises was successfully convened in Nansha, Guangzhou on November 28.

Amid the accelerating "going global" journey of Chinese manufacturing and its deep integration into the global industrial chain and overseas supply chain systems, the service capabilities of international supply chain logistics enterprises remain uneven and there is a lack of unified assessment standards, leaving manufacturing enterprises without reliable references when selecting service providers. To tackle this issue, Top 50 Shipping Elite Research Center (50SERC), the Shipping and Logistics Branch of China Communications and Transportation Association (CCTA-SLB) and China Shipping Gazette (CSG) initiated the formulation of the Assessment Standard for Service Capability of International Supply Chain Logistics Enterprises. Since its launch, the standard has completed preliminary industry research and assessment work and obtained official project approval.
In accordance with the research group formation plan, Huang Youfang, Chairman of the Teaching Guidance Committee of Higher Education Institutions of Logistics, Ministry of Education and former President of Shanghai Maritime University, serves as the Head of the research group. Meanwhile, key export industry associations, representative manufacturing enterprises, and leading international supply chain logistics and related service enterprises will be invited as member units, which will appoint experts to participate in the standard formulation.
The meeting was held under the aforementioned background, with the aim of soliciting opinions and conducting in-depth discussions on the Assessment Standard for Service Capability of International Supply Chain Logistics Enterprises (group standard).
Huang Youfang, Head of the research group, Chairman of the Teaching Guidance Committee of Higher Education Institutions of Logistics, Ministry of Education and former President of Shanghai Maritime University, Fei Weijun, former President of China Waterborne Transport Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, and Zhao Yifei, Executive Director of the Expert Committee of Top 50 Shipping Elite Research Center (50SERC), attended the meeting.
