Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has further expanded its presence in China with the establishment of Medlog? Mediterranean Shipping Company (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Yiwu Branch.

The new branch will provide services including international sea-air-land freight forwarding, international shipping agency, container maintenance, non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) services and supply chain management.
The establishment strengthens MSC’s inland network and supports logistics connectivity between Yiwu and global markets.
MSC entered the Yiwu market in 2017 by launching the Yiwu–Ningbo Railway Sea Intermodal Service to support China’s Belt and Road Initiative and growing demand for rail-sea transportation.
In June 2025, the Yiwu (Suxi) International Hub Port officially opened, with the first Yiwu–Ningbo Zhoushan Port sea-rail intermodal train connecting the world’s largest small commodity market with the world’s largest port.
MSC has also introduced the Connected Carrier Agreement (CCA) “one-document” service on the Yiwu–Ningbo Zhoushan Port route, integrating rail and ocean transport operations and improving supply chain visibility.
2026 marks MSC’s 28th year in the Chinese market. In recent years, MSC has continued expanding its inland network, establishing branches in Shenyang (2025), Xuzhou (2026), and Yiwu, further strengthening connections between China’s manufacturing regions and global markets.
