In his speech, Chairman Huang examined the development of the new liberal arts and the transformation of the logistics industry in the age of artificial intelligence. He systematically analyzed the new opportunities and challenges facing logistics higher education in China, reviewed the progress achieved in logistics program development and talent cultivation, and shared his views on AI-enabled program development, deeper industry–education integration and the reshaping of the capability structure for talent cultivation.

First launched in 2001, the Symposium on Logistics Education in Higher Education and the Forum on Innovative Development of Industry–Education Integration in Logistics and Supply Chain has now been held for 25 consecutive years and has become an influential platform for exchange in China’s logistics higher education community. Chairman Huang’s keynote offered recommendations on logistics education reform and talent development, contributing valuable insights into innovation in logistics and supply chain education in the age of artificial intelligence.

As artificial intelligence accelerates the reshaping of the logistics industry, how logistics higher education can move beyond knowledge transmission toward capability development, and how real industry needs can be transformed into resources for talent cultivation, have become important issues for both the industry and universities. Centered on “capability reshaping” and “integrated service,” Chairman Huang’s speech provided fresh perspectives on how logistics programs can adapt to industrial transformation, innovate talent-development models and strengthen their ability to serve national strategies and industry development. It also reflected the Center’s professional commitment to tracking industry frontiers and advancing collaboration between education and industry.
