Shandong Port Group and Huawei will further strengthen cooperation in smart port construction and digital transformation.

Recently, Gao Liping, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman and General Manager of Shandong Port Group, visited Huawei’s headquarters in Shenzhen and held discussions with Ma Yue, Vice President of Huawei and CEO of the Transportation Intelligentization Business Unit.

Gao Liping said Huawei, as a global leader in information and communication technology, has strong capabilities in smart transportation and digital solutions, which closely match Shandong Port’s development needs.

He noted that Huawei has provided extensive support to Shandong Port in recent years, with cooperation achieving significant results. Currently, Shandong Port is accelerating digital transformation, upgrading digital infrastructure and promoting smart port development.

In particular, Shandong Port was approved as the only artificial intelligence application pilot platform in China’s port industry, creating new opportunities for deeper cooperation between the two sides.

Ma Yue said Huawei has accumulated extensive experience in 5G, artificial intelligence and digital twin technologies, providing comprehensive smart solutions for transportation scenarios including ports.

He emphasized that Huawei will continue leveraging its technological and ecosystem advantages to support Shandong Port’s intelligent transformation and contribute to the high-quality development of the port group.
