Hapag-Lloyd has announced that it will cooperate with ZIM Integrated Shipping Services to launch a new Asia–East Coast South America service, AS3, from September 13.
The weekly service will connect major ports in Asia and Brazil, while extending coverage to the River Plate region via Rio Grande.
The AS3 port rotation will be:
Shanghai – Ningbo – Xiamen – Hong Kong – Yantian – Rio Grande – Paranaguá – Itajaí – Santos – Rio de Janeiro

Hapag-Lloyd said the new service will strengthen its coverage between China and Brazil and provide customers with more direct and reliable connections to key South American markets.
Its existing Asia–East Coast South America AS2 and ASE services will remain unchanged.
