Sinotrans reported revenue of RMB 46.45 billion in the first half of 2026, down 8.06% year on year, while net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 1.73 billion, down 11.40%.
The company said the revenue decline was mainly due to its strategic adjustment and withdrawal from certain cross-border e-commerce logistics and logistics e-commerce platform businesses.
In its forwarding and related business segment, revenue reached RMB 29.94 billion, up 1.04%, while segment profit increased 18.04% to RMB 1.43 billion.

Ocean forwarding revenue rose 3.34% to RMB 21.80 billion, with cargo volume reaching 8.20 million TEUs. Rail forwarding saw strong growth, with revenue up 9.76% and cargo volume surging 94.86% to 417,000 TEUs.
Sinotrans said higher sea and air freight rates partly offset the impact of geopolitical disruptions, while its self-operated rail services outperformed the market.
At the interim results briefing, Zhang Yi, Chairman of Sinotrans, said the company will continue to strengthen existing overseas businesses while prudently expanding new markets. It will focus on cross-border road transport in the Indochina Peninsula, its Malaysia logistics center project, overseas hub networks supported by European air routes, and cross-border intermodal corridors in the Middle East and Africa.
According to Transport Topics’ 2026 ranking of the world’s top 50 ocean freight forwarders, Sinotrans again ranked first with 4.925 million TEUs.
