The China–Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Port Economy Cooperation Center was officially inaugurated in Tianjin on September 3, strengthening the city’s role in trade and logistics cooperation with SCO countries.

Located at the Tianjin International Trade and Shipping Service Center, the new platform will focus on three major areas: innovation in customs clearance models, greater maritime openness and facilitation, and stronger port cooperation with SCO and Belt and Road countries.

The center is intended to improve two-way connectivity and expand the network of port-related services linking Tianjin with participating countries.

Tianjin plans to progressively implement the center’s initiatives while promoting deeper integration between Tianjin Port, local industries and the city, supporting regional connectivity and the high-quality development of the port economy.
