Beibu Gulf Port Group has begun construction of five new 5,000-tonne automated container berths at the Dalanping South Operation Area of Qinzhou Port.
With a total investment of approximately RMB 941 million, the project will have a combined shoreline length of 695 meters and an annual designed handling capacity of 650,000 TEUs.

The project includes a 144,000-square-meter automated container yard, five automated quay cranes, six automated rail-mounted gantry cranes and 30 intelligent guided vehicles (IGVs).
Once completed, the five berths will operate together with existing Berths 7–10 at Qinzhou Automated Container Terminal, strengthening the port’s integrated river-sea-rail multimodal transport system.
As a key interface between the Pinglu Canal and the sea, the Dalanping South Operation Area is expected to handle growing cargo volumes following the canal’s opening and further strengthen Qinzhou Port’s role in the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.
