A new Zhoukou Port–Lianyungang Port river-sea intermodal route for vehicle exports has officially commenced operations.

The service was jointly developed by Henan Port Group, COSCO SHIPPING, SAIC Motor and Lianyungang Port. Vehicles manufactured in Henan are shipped from Zhoukou Port via the Shaying and Huai rivers to Lianyungang Port, where they are transferred to international shipping services for export.

The new route provides Henan’s automotive industry with a lower-cost and more efficient export logistics corridor, while connecting inland waterway resources with international maritime transportation.

It is also expected to strengthen Henan’s multimodal transport network and improve logistics efficiency for locally manufactured vehicle exports.
