COSCO SHIPPING Group and Beibu Gulf Port Group have held talks in Shanghai on strengthening cooperation in port-shipping logistics and project development.

Wan Min, Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING Group, and Hu Huaping, Chairman of Beibu Gulf Port Group, attended the meeting.

The two sides said they will seize the opportunities arising from the upcoming opening of the Pinglu Canal and further deepen practical cooperation in areas including port and shipping logistics, infrastructure projects and cross-border supply chains.

Leveraging COSCO SHIPPING’s global route network and Beibu Gulf Port’s role in the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, the two groups plan to strengthen cooperation related to the Belt and Road Initiative and support the development of Beibu Gulf Port as an international gateway and hub port.
